The U.S Business visa is tagged as the B-1 visitor visa. This visa allows a stay of about 3-6 months and can be valid for about 5 years.

The next step is to set up an appointment with a US embassy in Nigeria for an interview on your application. You are also expected to prepare well for the interview and you should have all the necessary documents for the interview. You can either go to the Lagos US consulate or the Abuja US embassy for this.

Finally, after the interview date has been set, you should wait and attend the interview on the scheduled date that the interview was set. Applicants of this visa should not be accompanied for the interview except they have disabilities and cannot go to the embassy unaccompanied.

You would be expected to show the purpose of your visit and prove that you would be staying for a short period of time in the US. You should also have proof of enough funds to support yourself financially in the US.
