I spent a night at the Eko Hotel and Suites and it wasn’t a bad experience at all. I think their strongest element is the bar and meeting area located around the pool. This location provides a very conducive environment for informal business meetings. The buffet-styled restaurant located adjacent to the pool area offers a large variety of quality, tasty local and intercontinental dishes. Their bedrooms are quite large and generally well maintained.
Passing a night in this hotel feels like staying in a second home because the hotel has all the facilities required to make their guests comfortable and relaxed. I now understand why this hotel has become the ideal location for all kinds of high-class events in Nigeria – whether entertainment shows, corporate award nights, political gatherings, celebrity wedding and birthday parties, etc, Eko Hotel Lagos is now the ideal place for hosting such events.
A night at the Eko Hotel and Suites is something you should experience, because it promises to be one night you will not forget in a hurry with all the fun and activities you are bound to enjoy. The pools are very inviting, and the cool night breeze from the ocean is quite breathtaking. It was quite a memorable experience for me, though the management can do with one or two improvements. Some parts of the hotel obviously need some remodeling to suit modern standards as some panelings are no longer functioning adequately. The restaurant at the top of the hotel was extremely magnificent and it provided very delicious dishes enjoyed with a great view of the ocean.

If you love varieties when it comes to food, then Eko Hotel Lagos is good for you because it provides about five standard restaurants with assorted cuisines for you to choose from. The room I stayed in gave me an amazing view which made me forget momentarily that I was in Lagos. If you enjoy relaxing over some chilled drinks, then the pool side offers you a great environment for relaxation. This hotel’s short distance from the airport is something I value, since I had to fly out of Lagos the next morning.
If you want to beat the suffocating and frustrating Lagos traffic on your way from the airport, you should consider staying at Eko Hotel and Suites when next you visit Lagos for a night because it is not all that far from the airport. You equally get a very efficient taxi service to the airport from the hotel. Though the food was quite expensive, but it was worth every dime it cost.
With newspapers delivered to your room very early in the morning, you will be aware of the latest developments and happenings in town before you step out for the day’s business. The workers were quite professional and efficient in their service deliveries. I particularly loved their traditional Ankara attires which made them appear truly African.
The security personnel were quite professional and dedicated to their duties all through the night, so there was this sense of being in a much secured environment throughout my stay. The Eko Hotel and Suites turned out to be better than I had expected, so I will always spend a night there whenever I visit Lagos for business, and I think you should too. A night at the Eko Hotel Lagos is all you need to be convinced that it is a world-class hotel with world-class facilities.
