Warri Airport
Warri Airport (IATA: QRW; ICAO: DNSU) is also known as Osubi Airstrip. The airport located in Osubi Village near Warri serves Warri City in ?Delta State, Nigeria. The airport is located 10km Northeast of Warri city.
A small airstrip in a congested part of Warri city used to serve the landing and take off needs of majorly the oil companies. The airstrip had a small terminal building and an aircraft hangar. The old airstrip was discarded for the construction of the new airport when it could no longer contain the increasing number of arrivals and departures into Warri.
Shell Oil Company built the new airport called Osubi Airport to replace the old airstrip. The airport commissioned and opened for commercial flights on 1 April 1999. Osubi Airport jointly operated in partnership with other oil companies in Delta State is one of the busiest airports in Nigeria.
