China Southern Airlines Fleet
The Airline?s fleet consists of 509 passenger aircraft and 13 cargo aircraft. They are majorly Airbuses, Boeing, Comac, and Embraer. There are 31 Airbus A319-100 models with the capacity to carry 122 passengers. 24 out of the models are being sold to United Airlines.
China Southern Airlines operates 123 Airbus A320-200 models whie 27 are on order. 5 of these aircraft have been leased to Chongqing Airlines and 1 to the Royal Campodian Air Force. Flying With Children On China Southern Airlines
China Southern Airlines considers anyone who is above the age of 2 and below the age of 12 years old as at when they start the travel as unaccompanied minors. Children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 18 years old. On the day of flight departure, minors between 5 and 12 years old without parents, guardians, or at least an 18 year old accompany in the same class cabin must be covered by unescorted child services.
Children below the ages of 5 without the company of an elder traveller are not allowed on any of the flights. Only young people between the age of 12 and 16 who have applied for the unescorted services are allowed to travel alone.
Special services for children and teenagers without accompanies are available on all domestic, international and regional direct flights with China Southern Airlines. This service applies when there are no inter-flight transfers involved.
Infants/Children
Children below the ages of 5 cannot travel alone. Children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 18 years old.
Unaccompanied Children
Domestic flights for children cost 50% of ticket prices for adults while international and regional flights for unescorted children are charged with respect to services for unaccompanied minors. Children between the age of 2 and 12 are regarded as unaccompanied minors.
Flying With Pets On China Southern Airlines
Domestic animals are allowed on the airline and will be shipped as part of luggage. These animals include any one of domesticated dogs, cats, birds and other pets. Animals which serve as risks to carriage such as very small animals like mouse and ornamental fishes, very big animals exceeding the size and volume specifications of the airline like wild animals, are not allowed to be transported as part of baggage.
As a result of certain requirements for carriage of small animals, the passengers are required to apply for carriage of small animals when booking their flights. This application must be made at least 72 hours before the flight departure and afterwards pets will be transported after a positive reply from China Southern Airlines.
At the airport, the weight of pets and their containers and food is addressed with respect to overweight baggage requirements of the airline as well as payment plans. The additional costs for the carriage of small animals shall be paid at the airport when undergoing handling procedures.

Passengers who did not fly from Hong kong are liable to request for a full refund of Air Passenger Departure Tax by applying and filling the form online. The refund attracts no extra charge.
Ticket Change Policy
