Alaska Airlines is an American airline based in the Seattle ?Metropolitan Area of Washington, it was?founded in 1932 as McGee Airways by Linious ''Mac'' McGee offering flights from Anchorage, Alaska. The airline is a major carrier and although it isn't a member?of any of the three major airline alliances, it has codeshare agreements with some members of these alliances and plays a major role in air transportation in the state.
