Nana Palace, Asaba

Nana Olomu (1852–1916) was an Itsekiri chief and merchant from the Niger Delta region of southern Nigeria. A powerful nineteenth century indigenous entrepreneur. His palace is located at Koko in Warri North Local Government Area. Access is by road through Warri to Koko. Chief Nana Olumu Palace is reputed to be Living History Museum, the only one in Nigeria. It was built by Chief Nana Olomu of Ebrohim.[](http://hotels.ng/travel/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/nana3.jpg)The magnificent edifice is a reflection of his grandeur. His personal effects are housed in it and they portray his enlightened contact with the British Empire under Queen Victoria. The Palace has been recognised and approved as a National Monument.
