ASABA BEACH

Delta State is rich not only with oil, but with  historical monuments, festivals, dances, beautiful resorts and beaches.
From Asaba, head Northeast on Ogbeke Road, turns slightly right into Ogbe Ilo Street, turn right into Nnebisi Road, make a U-Turn at Ezenei Avenue, then turn right. That’s where you see it!
Sparkling sand, palm trees swaying over a white beach, lush tropical plants, and endless sunshine makes Asaba Beach one of Delta State most scenic beaches. This beach doesn’t lack in beauty or scenery and also offers plenty of activities. Gear up for a friendly game of beach volleyball or unpack your picnic and bring some supplies for the on-site grills.
The majestic River Niger, one of the most famous rivers in Africa, washes the shores of the capital city, Asaba.
Further downstream, it breaks into the dozens of creeks through which it empties itself into the Atlantic. During the dry season, the golden sandbanks of the Niger are a sight to behold and ideal for relaxation. Take a tour with a naturalist and explore all that this nature hotbed has to offer.
