Yogurberry, Abuja.

More people nowadays are beginning to say ‘eating well is in vogue’ (to justify their habit, no less), but time has revealed that eating well never goes out of fashion. It is more that eating native or cooking your meals, it is sometimes about consuming healthy meals (snacks), like yoghurt. If you’re in Abuja and willing to satisfy this urge, you should get to Yogurberry.

In Wuse Zone II, on Bangui Crescent, off Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent, is Yogurberry. Their specialty: serving low-sugar, low-calorie frozen yoghurt in a cafe-like atmosphere. They serve it with all the toppings, of course; from fruit to candy and oats, more toppings for every scoop of frozen yoghurt you order.

The yoghurt itself comes in different flavours – plain, chocolate, banana, kiwi, the berries are well represented also. There are no waiters here, but that is not even a setback, you simply walk to the counter, order your yoghurt, pay, then walk over to the other side and collect your yoghurt. As if it’s not cheap enough, the more scoops you buy, the less you pay (per unit of course). In this age where people find the smallest reasons to snap at workers, their customer service won’t give you a reason to.

There are chairs (and tables) within the building, but then mini-tents also outside, so you can hang out with your friends and families over your yoghurt. The outfit isn’t open up till mid-morning (because you shouldn’t crave yoghurt so early) and is generally free in the afternoon but gets a handsome number as evening approaches.

On a quiet street and a relaxing atmosphere, so you may drive your car here, especially if you’re coming with company. If not, get into a cab and come have some yoghurt.
