The Nigerian Ministry of Defence

The Nigerian Ministry of Defence building popularly called Ship House is one of the most architecturally buildings in the country’s capital. It is located on the Olusegun Obasanjo Way in Abuja’s Central Business District. Some describe it as “beautiful and functional”, imposing and befitting of its status as home of the country’s military might. To others, this is where all the defence-related functions of the Nigerian Armed Forces are condensed and co-ordinated. It is a modernist monstrosity. However, perhaps all can agree on this – it certainly does command attention!
