Simple Breakfast food in your hotel room

If you thought you always had to order breakfast food in your hotel room,or go out and buy cooked food. Those days are finally over,it can be quite inconveniencing if you want to make your own food. Here are some simple breakfast food  you can try in the convenience of your hotel room.

1.Toasts and cheese with honey

Some hotels nowadays come with microwaves, toasters and as always a small fridge. They also have room service, which you have freely to use, except you then purchase something.

This is something I have tried a lot of times,I simply call room service for plates, when they bring it over I ask if I could get some toasts, mind you, this is with my own bread from a supermarket close by,or sometimes you can ask them for like 4 slices of toast, most of them do not charge you,the smaller the cheaper)

You need goat cheese for this,or the classic spreadable cheese wedges(products like the laughing cow)

Spread your cheese, and spread your honey.

That is all,you can have it along with some tea, which you can simply make however you like(Hotels usually provide kettles, and if they don’t,just ask for  a cup of hot water. It should be free).

2.Bread and Avocado

Just simply slice up your avocado, spread it on your bread.

Maybe garnish with some tomatoes if you wish and have a cup of tea with it or warm milk.

This actually keeps you stuffed, and is a healthy breakfast as well.

3.The classic bread and butter

I think the title is quite self explanatory, simply have your spreading knife, bread  and lovely butter. Spread away, and have a lovely cup of tea with it.

4.Microwave Scrambled eggs

You would need

  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Salt (If you wish)

Simply mix it together in a cereal bowl, pop in a microwave for about 1 minute. (The amount all depends on what you like)

Take it out ,stir and leave for another minute or more, depends on how you like it. (The longer it stays the dryer your eggs get)

Also stock up on a reasonable amount of ingredients that do not require refrigeration like Oats,Nuts, biscuits, cereals,Powdered milk etc and easy to fridge food like your banana’s ,apples etc

Remember if you are on a budget its not advisable to take the drinks stocked up in the hotel fridge,I tried this once and got a bill I will never forget. Always ask room service,if they are free and if you are going to be there for a while, you could ask them to take drinks out,for you to put your own things.
