Not every part of Lagos is safe for you. There are areas where you may have to sleep literally with an eye open. Living around this place may not be the best, but that doesn’t mean people who live here are scared . If you are coming to these places, we must tell you that you need to be extremely careful especially at the open air drinking bars, beaches, parks and clubs. Alimosho Local Government Area

Coming here with flashy cars may not be a good idea. This place is a haven for car-jackers. Cars aren’t the only things stolen here, valuable properties like cell phones, wallets and hand bags are as well. The crime rate here is high because the area is situated on the fringe of Lagos/Ogun State boundary. Criminals come from Ogun to Lagos to commit these heinous crimes.

The Ikeja/Alausa area

This area is in the heart of Lagos and closely associated with crime activities. Carjacking is common, people are duped, and theft is high here. This is a good spot for criminals because it is very close to the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. It may be difficult to catch these guys when they strike. Police patrol at night to ensure security is maintained here.

Fadeyi

Fadeyi seems quiet, but violence and armed robbery are common here. You should avoid flashing expensive things here. When it gets dark, find your way home, or you may find yourself stuck with some criminals who won’t spare you when they get a hold of you.

Onipanu

Onipanu is also not safe for you. You have to be very careful when you are here because of the criminal activity. The criminals are smart and may come in different ways to take away your possessions. Try and avoid open confrontation with them because they work in groups.

Oshodi

Oshodi might have been wiped clean, but it is still dirty with criminal activities. Do not be deceived with its new look, because Oshodi is notorious for feds and bloody gang fights among drug dealers. Crime rate here is high, and you should learn to avoid trouble with the molue drivers or conductors for your own good. These guys are nasty and can end up maiming you.
