Immerse yourself in the Peace and Serenity at Unity Park
Popularly known as the cenotaph to the natives of Uyo, the unity park is a symbolic ground for the city of Uyo. It?s most famous for its recreational activities and hosting of social events. The celebration of the Arms Forces Remembrance Day is held here annually. It also doubles as a cemetery for fallen soldiers, heroes of the country and is a large expanse of land that stretches from Nsikak Eduok area to Udo-Udoma Avenue.
The park is also used for video shoots, photoshoots, birthday parties, picnic, as a relaxation spot and for sporting activities such as jogging, football, taekwondo among others. Saturday mornings are when the park bubbles as locals gather for different activities. Some parts of the park are used for random football matches, volleyball, tennis, and other bard games. Lots of space are available for joggers to run around the park, cyclers ride around pulling off different stunts, there?s also a section for taekwondo, aerobics and other exercises. Dancers also gather there to rehearse. Unity Park is a whole world of activities.
There are several bars dispersed around the park, a little exhibition hall for artisans, small ponds surrounded by Palm trees and a joint for the customary palm wine and dog meat. Unity Park is the hub of social activities in Uyo, there?s never a dull moment at the park. A visit to the park is sure to light up your mood as there is a paradoxical blend between the serenity of nature and the vibrant spirit of the locals.

The closest Airport to Unity Park is the Akwa Ibom International Airport. Moving from the Airport to Unity Park is a 40 minutes drive.
