The Tourist Visa is issued to foreigners traveling to Greece with the intention of sightseeing and relaxing. Applicants of this visa may have the intention of visiting their friends or relatives who reside in the country. If your purpose of traveling to Greece is for visitation, a letter of invitation from your host in Greece should be provided. An original certificate of employment for the last three years is required. It should be accompanied by a letter from your employer stating the days of your leave. You are required to provide a criminal record from the last three years. This should be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Holders of this visa can negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners during business meetings. An invitation letter from the host company in Greece is required. The letter should be written in both Greek and English. The invitation letter should introduce the applicant and state the duration and purpose of the applicant’s visit. This visa is issued to foreign nationals who have been accepted to study full-time in a higher education establishment in Greece. A letter of acceptance from the institution that the applicant has been accepted into should be provided. The letter should be printed on the institutions letterhead and must state the course the applicant will be studying. If the applicant of this visa is under the age of 18 years, a letter of consent signed by the person exercising parental authority is required.
