About University of Lagos The University of Lagos fondly called Unilag was established on 22nd of October, 1962. The University since its inception has been saddled with the responsibility of intensifying the training of a professional workforce that would bring about rapid change and development to the industrial, economic and political sectors of the nation. Admission into Unilag is a competitive and selective process, with only the best successfully gaining admission.
