History of National War Museum, Umuahia National War Museum, Umuahia was established in 1985 with the aim of putting the ugly episode of the war behind and speeding up the process of national reconciliation and healing. History of Ojukwu Bunker Ojukwu Bunker was built in 1968 as a base for the Biafran war campaign. Built by Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu. Formerly belonging to the Premier of the then Eastern Region, Chief Michael Okpara, the premises where the bunker is housed was offered to the Biafran government after the fall of the first capital of Biafra.
