Taiwo Olowo's monument was established in 1905, Built by Senhor Jorge DaCosta in 1905.
In 1848, Daniel Conrad Taiwo a man of humble means set out for the city of Lagos. After years of toiling and businesses he became so successful that the term olowo (rich man in Yoruba) was added to his name. The Monument is a testament to the fact that nothing is impossible if you believe it can be done.
