History of The National Theatre The National Theatre was built in 1976 as a focal point for the celebration of Nigerian art and culture. ABOUT City Hall was established in 1900 to serve as the Local Government Secretariat of the past British Lagos Colony. It is situated in the centre of the Lagos Business District.
