About The National Identity Management Commission

The National Identity Management Commission acts as a home to the data of all the citizens of the country. The NIMC is also responsible for allocating National Identity cards to citizens of the country. The is done to avoid double life and identity fraud in the country. History of The National Identity Management Commission

National Identity Management Commission is a Nigerian establishment established on the NIMC Act, 2007. A schemed initiated by Directorate of National Civic Registration was cut short by issues of fraudulent acts. The NIMC was born in 2010 and fostered a relationship with the National Database and Registration Authority of Pakistan to develop e-national identity cards for citizens.
