On 16th February, 2004, the president set up a 28-man group to implement Extrative Industries Transparency Initiative in Nigeria, the group was called National Stakeholders Working Group (NSWG) which was headed by Mrs Obiageli Ezekwesili. On May 28, 2007, the NEITI Act, 2007, was enacted. The NSWG was later reconstructed and a new chairperson was appointed.Safety
