Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is tasked with the responsibility of investigating and bringing to justice individuals involved in fradulent and dubious activities within the country. Its many offenders include individuals involved in internet fraud, money laundering, advance fee fraud etc.
History of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was formed in 2003 by the EFCC establishment Act, 2004. The agency currently has its headquarters in Abuja. The first chairman of EFCC was Nuhu Ribadu while it currently has an acting chairman Mr Ibrahim Magu. The list of the country's most notorious offenders has been on the agency's website since 2008. EFCC is known for its motto "WE WILL FIND YOU"
