About The Standards Organisation of Nigeria

The Ibadan Office of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria conducts the affairs of the agency in the South West zone, as well as represent the SON in making sure the numerous manufacturing and production companies around, conform to set policies on standards.

History of The Standards Organisation of Nigeria

The Standards Organisation of Nigeria was first conceived by the Enabling Act No. 56 of 1971. It was then fully enabled by The SON Act Cap. S9 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, which has been reviewed by the present SON Act Cap. S9 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
