About The National Insurance Commission
The National Insurance Commission is the statutory agency of the federal government of Nigeria concerned with the effective regulation and supervision of the country's insurance industry as well as all transactions between insurers and re-insurers in and outside the country. The NIC serves in its capacity as the Insurance Inspectorate agency, to establish standards for the conduct of insurance business in Nigeria. It approves rates for premiums and commissions in the insurance industry and advises the Federal Government on insurance issues.Safety
