About The Federal Inland Revenue Service

The Federal Inland Revenue Service is the foremost tax collecting agency of the Nigerian Federal Government. The agency has sought to operate a transparent and efficient tax system to maximize revenue collection and compliance, while delivering premium service to taxpayers. It was first carved out of the colonial West African Inland Revenue Department in 1943 and has grown leaps and bounds to its present state where it has continued to post improved tax revenue figures year on year.
