About The Budget Office of the Federation

The Budget Office of the Federation is an important organ of the Ministry of Budget and National Planning. It was established to provide budget function, implement budget and fiscal policies of the Federal Government of Nigeria by the 1999 Constitution. This Body prepares revenue estimation using current information on oil production and prices as well as non oil receipts. It also identifies, policy objectives, the macroeconomic framework and the indication of expenditure estimates. The Budget is then presented to the federal government for further action.
