Alice Hotel & Suites

My husband and I traveled from Canada and spent a month at the Alice Hotel and Suites while visiting family in Benin City. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel staff were helpful, kind and enthusiastic. There were some glitches but they were quickly dealt with and we were happy to find that the electricity was consistent as this can be a problem in Nigeria. There was a thorough security team looking out for our safety at all times yet it never felt oppressive. the area nearby was interesting and we took several walks around the residential neighborhood. The restaurant had good fare and the indoor and outdoor bars made it easy to entertain family and friends that came to visit us without having everyone in our actual hotel room. Best of all however was the homey feeling we had there. Both my husband and I celebrated our birthdays while at the Alice Hotel, his early on and mine near the end of our visit. By my happy day the whole staff came and celebrated with us because after all, we had become part of the family. We would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a friendly place.
