Work Visa from Eritrea to Argentina

  • Argentine Work visa is issued to foreigners(including Eritreans) who are willing to work in Argentina, are required to apply for a work visa.
  • This visa is also issued to people who are to study in Argentina.
  • This visa is issued by the National Directorate of Migration in Argentina and permission is also given by the respective consulate.
  • Argentine work visa fee costs about $250USD. 
  • Eritreans traveling to Argentina on this visa are required to provide labor contract with the company or institution in Argentina.
  • Eritreans are also expected to provide birth certificate, translated into Spanish by a certified translator.
  • Marital agreement, translated into Spanish by a certified translator is also required.
  • 3 passport photos are to be provided for each family member (4x4; preferably light blue background; ¾ profile right side).
  • The most common types of work visas are Hired worker contract visa and Secondment - temporary residence visa.
  • Hired Worker Contract Visa is a visa issued to employees and people on internships contracted by companies in Argentina. This visa is a maximum of 3 years but can be extended after this period. 
  • Secondment Visa is issued to employees sent abroad by their company for at least 6–12 months and a labour contract is not required for this visa type.
  • You are to provide proof of sufficient funds that will cover your stay in the country.
  • For travellers aged 16 years and older, you are to provide a proof of not having criminal records in your country.
  • Receipt of your payment migration fee is to be provided.
  • The Argentine Consular in your country will conduct an interview on you.
  • Consension by Minor's parents have to be provided in the case of Minor traveling to Argentina to study.
  • You have to get in touch with the Argentine Consular in your country before you start the Argentine visa application process.
  • Currently, Argentina has neither an embassy nor a consulate in Eritrea. Eritrean citizens are to apply for Argentine visa in the neighbouring countries where Argentina maintains an Embassy or a Diplomatic Mission.
