Nigerians who want to work in the United States can apply for a work visa. This visa is issued to individuals  for several categories of work such as H1B(specialty occupation) H2B(skilled and unskilled workers) H3(trainee) L-1(intra-company transferees) P(artists and entertainers) Q(international cultural exchange participant) The work visa allows the holder to engage in paid employment under the above-listed skill types for a period of time depending on the contract. Your prospective employer is required to file a petition that would be approved by the United States Citizen and Immigration Services(USCIS) and verified by PIMS. This would be done during your job interview. When you have secured the appropriate visa, you will need to get a permit to work, which is officially known as an Employment Authorization Document (EAD), in order to prove you are eligible to work in the United States.
