This visa is issued to citizens of Nigeria traveling to Portugal for the purpose of sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation.
This visa also allows foreigners visit their friends or relations who hold permanent residence in the country.
Applicants of this visa who are visiting someone in Portugal are required to submit a letter of invitation from their host.
If you are employed, a letter from your employer should be provided. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and must confirm the awareness of your leave.
Minors should ensure they are I possession of the original copy of their birth certificate while applying for this visa. If they are traveling without a parent, a notarized consent signed by both their parents is required.
Non-Nigerians applying for this visa should provide evidence of legal stay in Nigeria.
Holders of this visa are not allowed to engage in business activities during their time in the country.
A cover letter which states in details the purpose of your visit to Portugal should be provided.

Passport with a validity of at least 3 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
Duly completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof of steady and continuous flow of funds.
Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
Proof of civil status.
Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
Copy of return flight ticket.
