Tourist visa is issued to individuals who intend to visit Venezuela for tourism purposes However, embassies do not currently issue tourist visa because of the high level of unrest in the country Venezuela issues single and multiple-entry tourist visa The single-entry can be used for a one-time visit to Venezuela and the multiple-entry is used for several entries into Venezuela for the duration of the visa The tourist visa is valid for a period of 90 days It generally takes 2-10 working days to process the visa depending on the embassy or consulate You are required to provide proof of accommodation which could be a hotel reservation or an apartment If you will be staying with a friend or relative, the person has to write an invitation letter The invitation letter should carry information such as the relationship between both parties, duration of stay, name, address and phone number of the inviting party Travelling minors are required to have a copy of their original birth certificate and a notarized letter from their parents or guardian Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up any form of employment or study You must provide proof of enough money for your trip preferably a recent bank statement It is possible to extend your visa for an additional period of 90 days after which you must exit the country.

This is the type of visa issued to Nigerians traveling to Venezuela for business purposes . You will need to provide an invitation letter from the Venezuelan company you will be visiting. This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied with the date and actual purpose of your trip. If the intention is to attend a meeting or seminar, confirmation/invitation from the conference organizer/institution is required. If you are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating or allowing your business travel. Proof of sufficient funds to cover the costs of stay (e.g. bank statement for 3 recent months) is required. Self-employed people may need to submit proof of business registration. You cannot be gainfully employed while you are in the country with this visa. It must be made clear whether your trip will be sponsored by the employer or the local company. Proof of payment of visa application fee should be submitted . Venezuela's child protection law mandates that minors (under 18) of any nationality who are traveling alone, with only one parent, or with a third party, must present a copy of their birth certificate. A written, notarized authorization from the absent parent(s) or legal guardian, specifically granting permission to travel alone, with one parent, or with a third party is also needed. If documents are prepared outside of Venezuela, the authorization and the birth certificate must be translated into Spanish, notarized, and authenticated by the Embassy of Venezuela or a Venezuelan Consulate. Venezuela uses biometric equipment to register photos and fingerprints of all travelers to Margarita Island. Business travelers are advised to take their passport with them when traveling to the Island. Travelers are advised to only use official crossing points when entering Venezuela. You must obtain an entry stamp to prove you entered the country legally.
