Tourist Visa from Mozambique to South Africa
- The South African tourist visa is for Mozambicans who have permanent residence outside South Africa and wish to visit the country temporarily for tourism purpose.
- The visa will allow you to travel to a South African port of entry where an immigration official will then determine if you are allowed to enter South Africa and for how long you can stay for that particular visit.
- A valid and acceptable passport visa and travel document for your intended stay.
- At least one blank page in your passport is neededfor endorsements.
- Provide of sufficient funds to pay for your day-to-day expenses during your stay is requried.
- An onward and return ticket should be provided.
- Yellow Fever certificate is required if the applicant is passing through the Yellow Fever belt area before entering South Africa.
- Proof of legal status for Mozambique must be provided. For example, certified/notarized copy of a green card, H1B, F1, J1, etc.
- Currency brought into or taken from South Africa is monitored by law. Should you have South African currency exceeding R25 000 or any foreign currency, this must be declared.
- If you are a journalist or sportsman bringing goods such as photographic or sport equipment into the country, you should declare them in the Customs red channel after arriving in South Africa.
- Travelers may import their personal medicament provided it is for not more than three (3) months’ use. This must be accompanied by a prescription issued by a medical doctor.
