Tourist Visa from Nigeria to Afghanistan
- The Afghan tourist visa is issued to foreign nationals who want to visit Afghanistan for tourism, vacation or other recreational purposes.
- You can also visit family and friends and attend festivals with a tourist visa.
- You must have a valid Nigerian passport with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank visa pages to travel to Afghanistan.
- Nigerians applying for the Afghan tourist visa need to submit a letter of introduction from a family member or host living in Afghanistan. This letter should clearly state the purpose of your travel to Afghanistan, the address and contact details of the host, as well as the applicant’s relationship with them.
- To show that you can cater to your financial needs while in Afghanistan, you must provide proof of sufficient financial means such as your most recent bank account statements.
- You must also provide proof of private accommodation or a copy of your hotel reservation for the duration of your stay in Afghanistan.
- The Afghan tourist visa is valid for 90 days (that is, you can use the visa within 3 months of its issuing) but only allows a maximum stay of 30 days.
- You are advised to exit the country before your visa expires as overstaying your visa may attract penalties.
- You will have to submit documents that show you have the intention of returning to your country once your visa expires. This proof could be a return ticket to Nigeria or an onward ticket to your next destination.
- As a tourist in Afghanistan, you are not allowed to work in the country.
- You must also provide proof that you have paid the visa application fee.
