Student Visa from India to Greece
- The Greek student visa is issued to Indians looking to study in one of the learning institutions in Greece.
- There are two types of Greek student visa:
- Type C student visa- this visa is issued to students looking to study for 90 days or less.
- Type D student visa- this visa is available for students looking to study for more than 90 days.
- An official acceptance letter of the institution where you will be studying must be provided.
- A medical certificate showing that you are clear of diseases is required.
- Criminal record from the National criminal record of your country is required.
- Proof of financial means for the duration of your stay is required. This should come in form of a bank statement.
- Proof of international health insurance with the minimum coverage of 30,000 euros for the entire duration of your stay is required.
- For your insurance plan to meet the Schengen visa health insurance requirements, it must include the following:
- The insurance company must have a representative office in Europe.
- Medical evacuation/ repatriation coverage of at least euro 30,000.
- Insurance must be valid for the duration of stay in the Schengen countries.
- A student visa is not a residence permit, students will need to apply for a residence permit differently.
