Student Visa from Togo to Canada

The Canadian student visa is issued to Togolese travelling to Canada with the intention of taking up an academic program.

Applicants of this visa need to obtain a study permit before they can start studying. 

The student visa can be renewed once you have a student permit.

Holders of this visa can request an extension on this visa type. The extension must be extended 3 months before the time of expiry of this visa.

A letter of acceptance from the institution that the applicant of this visa has been accepted should be provided.

The letter should state the course to be studied and the duration of the study program.

Proof of medical fitness of the applicant is mandatory.

Bearers of this visa are allowed to work part-time when school is in section and full time during holidays. 

Foreign students can stay in Canada for an extra 90 days after the completion of their course.

Applicants of this visa would be asked to provide a police document showing that they have no criminal record.

Proof of financial sufficiency that cover the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted.

Applicants are to provide proof of part or full payment of tuition fees.

Applicants under the age of 18 are to provide the original copy of their birth certificate which carries the name of both parents alongside a consent letter from one or both parents.

Certificates and transcripts from previous schools attended by the applicant of this visa are required for the application.

There should be proof of the applicant's proficiency in the English language.

Intending students would need to submit documents providing proof that they have the incentive of returning to their country at the completion of their studies.
