The Romania tourist visa ( Symbol C/ TU ) is issued for tourism purposes. This visa is strictly for tourism, vacations, recreations and cannot be used to visit relatives and friends, study or work. Minors should submit forms signed by both parents/ guardians. Visa application is free for children under 6 years. It can be issued for single or multiple entries but each stay must not exceed 90 days. Travelers must have taken Oral Polio Vaccine (VPO) or Polio Vaccine for Injection (VPI) within the past 12 months before the visa application or 4 weeks before the trip. Romania visa processing time is typically 2-15 days. A confirmed reservation at a tourist accommodation is required. Tourist visa applicants who do not pay in advance for tourist services such as food and accommodation must provide proof of at least 50 euros for each day of stay, totaling to not less than 500 euros by the end of stay duration. Trip travel itinerary along with a valid travel ticket should be submitted. An IGI-MAI invitation is required for short-stay visits. It should be filled in two copies and submitted for approval by the inviting party in Romania to the headquarters of the General Inspectorate for immigration in Romania. Within 60 days, the letter will be approved an a copy would be returned to the inviting party who will then hand it over to the visa applicant. The visa applicant can then request for a visa within 30 days of the invitation approval. However, foreigners travelling to Romania for the purpose of visiting, at the request of foreign diplomatic missions or consular offices accredited in Romania do not require the IGI-MAI invitation. The purpose of the trip cannot be changed once in Romania. Romania tourist visa typically costs £60 or its equivalent in Naira. Overstaying your visa is illegal and is punishable by deportation or banning.

This visa is issued to Nigerians traveling to Romania for business purposes . It is highly recommended that visa applications be lodged at least 2 weeks before the estimated date of departure and not more than 3 months before that date. The date of taking a decision upon a visa application is dependent on the date when the visa applicant presents oneself at the diplomatic mission/consulate of Romania. Romania accepts online visa applications. Visa holders can interview, hire and train staff , crosscheck the operation of goods purchased or sold , become shareholders of Romanian companies. Proof of sufficient funds in the amount of not less than £50 per day for the duration of stay which must total to not less than £500 or its equivalent in Naira. An IGI-MAI invitation is required. The invitation must be approved by the General Inspectorate for Immigration - Ministry of Internal Affairs It is usually approved within 60 days of submission after which the visa application must begin within 30 days from invitation approval. If you are travelling at the request of the administrative authorities in Romania or of registered tax-paying companies then you do not need the IGI-MAI invitation.  Applicants for this visa must have a valid travel ticket. For individuals participating in conferences, fairs or meetings relating to trade, an invitation letter from the host company in Romania is required. The letter should state that if the individual does not exit Romania as at when due, the company would be held liable for it and would be made to bear any imposed fine. Accommodation reservations must be made before the trip and proof should be submitted during the visa application. Individuals should possess  medical insurance that would be valid throughout the stay period. Holders of this visa can enter Romania multiple times as long as the visa is valid. However, every 180 days, the individual can stay for only 90 days. It is not possible to extend your Romania Business visa.

Transit visa issued to individuals who are travelling to other countries through Romania. Romania issues two kinds of transit visas Airport transit visa (Symbol A) Visa for transit purposes (Symbol B) The Symbol A visa allows individuals to enter the international airport or park until it is time to leave for the destination country. Among the countries required to have an Airport transit visa are Nigeria, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Ghana, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Somalia. Applicants are required to provide information which confirms that they will not enter the territory of the neighboring states while waiting for departure from Romania airport or park. Symbol B visa grants entry into Romanian territory for a maximum period of 5 days. This visa can only be issued for transit reasons. It allows an individual multiple entries into Romania within the validity of the visa,however, each stay must not exceed 5 days. Both types of Romania transit visa requires the visa for the final travel destination The travel tickets for the next destination, driving license (if travelling by road), passport containing the details of the individual and state of destination should be provided.
