Tourist Visa from Nigeria to Netherlands Description

The Netherlands tourist visa is also known as the "Type C" Schengen visa. It enables tourists to visit the Netherlands for relaxation or pleasure.
You must have a valid passport with at least two blank pages to affix the visa.
Two passport photographs with the following requirements are needed:

Travelers intending to visit friends and family in the Netherlands should also secure a tourist visa.
If you have a host in the Netherlands, you are required to present a letter of invitation from your host. Your host’s home address, telephone number and other means of contact (if any) should be written in detail in the letter.
Nigerians visiting the Netherlands on a tourist visa are not allowed to take up a program of learning while in the country.
A letter from your employer in Nigeria stating awareness and allowance of your leave is required. Your position in the company and the length of your employment should also be stated.
During your visa application, you are required to provide a covering letter briefly introducing yourself and explaining the true purpose and duration of your visit.
A copy of an onward or return ticket is also important.
Flight itinerary stating the dates, flight numbers as well as entry and exit details from the Netherlands should be provided.
Proof of travel insurance must be provided -- a minimum of €30,000 coverage within the Netherlands and the entire Schengen area.
During your time in the country, you are not allowed to seek public funds.
The Netherlands tourist visa is a short-stay visa. Extending the visa beyond the 90-day validity is only possible under very strict conditions, e.g., in the case of emergencies.
If you wish to stay longer in the country, your best decision might be to apply for a long-stay visa instead.
