Work Visa from Nigeria to Luxembourg
- Nigerians planning on taking a job in Luxembourg are eligible to apply for a work visa.
- Finding jobs in Luxembourg can be easier than in other European countries. Some international companies including Amazon, Skype, iTunes and PayPal have all set up European head offices in Luxembourg.
- Foreigners coming to Luxembourg through employment by a Luxembourg-based company will use their employee contract as a good start for getting a residence permit. Applicants are advised to apply for a residence permit as early as possible, ideally as soon as they have the employee contract.
- It might take a few months to process your application, so be conscious of which address receives your work permit. You are highly advised to apply for a work visa to Europe at least two months prior to your trip to the country.
- The Luxembourg work visa is usually valid for 1 year but there is an option of extension. Visa holders have the chance to apply for a visa extension, upon the expiration of their visa.
