Journalist Visa from Mauritania to Thailand

  • This visa is also known as non-immigrant 'B' visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of visiting a media or press organization based in Thailand.
  • Members of a film crew who are in Thailand for the purpose of producing a film, motion picture or advertisement can also apply for this visa.
  • Visa applicants who intend to work as a film producer, journalist or reporter may apply for this visa.
  • The visa is issued as single and multiple entries.
  • The visa single entry fee is 2000 Baht with 3 months validity while multiple entries is 5000 Baht with a one-year validity.
  • Applicants who have the intention of producing a film or motion picture have to register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to seek a filming permit at the MFA Medial Online Service.
  • Once the filming permit has been approved, the visa applicant can then go ahead with the visa application process.
  • You are requested to present a copy of the visa application form submitted online. The visa application form must have a bar code.
  • An approval letter from the Department of Tourism (Thailand Film Office) must be provided.
  • Foreigners are required to provide a letter of employment to confirm the media trip.
  • Those traveling to Thailand on this visa type are expected to provide proof of their legal residence in their home countries.
  • Applicants who wish to stay in Thailand for more than 90 days must file an application either at the Thai Embassy in their country or at the Office of Immigration Bureau in Bangkok.
  • The Office of Immigration Bureau is responsible for the approval of a visa extension. The consular officer may issue the extension on the visa as instructed by the Bureau.
  • You are to apply for Thailand visa in the neighboring countries that Thailand has a Diplomatic mission, as there is neither Embassy or consulate of Thailand currently in Mauritania.
  • Consular officers reserve the right to request additional information as they deem necessary.
