French Southern Territories
The headquarters and capital of the territories is Saint-Pierre on Réunion Island. French Southern territories can be best enjoyed from December - March where the temperature is warmer, the territory usually have fewer visitors during the colder seasons from May - September.
The climate in the territories are similar due to the fact that they are in the same region but some parts of the territories have different and harsher climate. The seasons in the territories are reversed having January as the warmest month and July as the coldest.
There are no recorded culture or traditions native to French Southern territories, and there are no native tribes. The territories were claimed by France in 1840 and inherits most of its components like language spoken, food and religion from France, as it is known to be a French territory.
There are no public accommodation in the territories and it can be accessible by boat through the Marion Dufresne, an oceanographic ship which runs from reunion island 4 times a year, because there are no airports, and tourist usually come through this means. The currency used in French southern territories is Euro (EUR).
