Tourist Visa from Nigeria to Philippines
- This type of visa is delivered to applicants who want to visit the Philippines for tourism.
- The Philippines tourist visa is normally processed under 10 business days, but in some cases could extend up to 4 weeks.
- Visa applicants are strongly advised to finalize their flight booking only after the visa is granted.
- The embassy will not hasten the visa processing to accommodate the applicant’s flight schedule.
- Processing of visa could be faster if the applicant’s country has an existing visa agreement with the Philippines.
- Please note that no refund of the visa application fee will be made if the application if denied or the visa is approved after the applicant’s scheduled departure date.
- Applicants are not allowed to work or study on this visa.
- Prepare to leave the country within the time allowed by the visa; overstaying is an offense.
- Application for a tourist visa must be made in person.
- In the case of a minor under eighteen (18) years of age, the application may be made for him by a person who, in the opinion of the consular officer, is responsible for his/her welfare.
- The minor, not an infant in arms, shall be required to appear at the Consulate for interview, together with the person making the application for him/her.
- Visa applications should normally be made at the Philippine Embassy or Consulate that has jurisdiction over their place of residence. While some visa applicants may apply at any Philippine Embassy or Consulate abroad, others are only allowed to apply his/her visa at the Philippine Embassy or Consulate in his country of origin or legal residence.
- The following requirements must be submitted when applying for this type of visa:
- Completely filled up application form. Application forms that are incompletely filled-out will be returned to the applicant.
- Original and photocopy of the passport with a validity that must extend at least six (6) months beyond the length of proposed stay in the Philippines.
- One 2″ x 2″ size photograph taken within the last six (6) months. The applicant’s signature must be affixed on the front side of the picture.
- A photocopy of the applicant’s round trip flight itinerary to his/her country of origin or flight itinerary to his/her next country of destination.
- Proof of financial capacity (e.g. latest print-out of credit card account(s), latest print-out of bank statements, ownership of real estate properties, and other documents showing the applicant’s capacity to financially support their selves during the stay in the Philippines. You will need more than one type of proof of financial capacity.
