This is the type of visa issued to persons who want to visit family members, relatives and friends in Egypt from Nigeria. Both single and multiple entry Egypt tourist visas are valid for up to 3 months. If you desire to visit Egypt for other purposes, consider applying for any other types of Egypt.  It is possible to attend business meetings while on a tourist visa, but all activities must fall within three months duration. You cannot reside permanently in Egypt with the tourist visa or take up a paid work. Also, on no account should you remain in Egypt after the expiration of your visa. This is a big offense. Be careful when filling your application form. The information you provide must tally with what you have on your supporting documents. Your passport must be on a white background and capture the entirety of your face. An invitation letter is important if you have a friend, family or business partner in Egypt. The letter should state your relationship with the person and when you will visit and depart from Egypt.

Unlike countries with a separate work visa category, foreigners who intend to work in Egypt must simply apply for a work permit. The application process may be rigorous and time-consuming. The first step of applying for an Egyptian work permit is obtaining the application form from the nearest Ministry of Manpower and Training Office. Because work permit applications require the participation of the foreigner's employer, it is not possible to obtain a work permit without a solid job offer from an employer in Egypt. Your employer will need to submit a memorandum explaining why it is necessary to hire a foreigner rather than a qualified Egyptian citizen. A copy of test showing you are free of HIV/AIDs is also needed. Another essential item is an approval from Egypt’s State Security Service showing that you are not a threat to national security or public safety. This can be obtained through a division at the Ministry of Manpower and Training office. Finally, you will need to pay a registration fee of about $60 to complete the process.
