This is the type of visa issued t o persons visiting Congo to take up paid employment. If you are a foreigner and have a job ready for you in Congo, you need to get a work visa. Getting a Democratic Republic of the Congo work visa can be tough. The first hurdle is getting a job in the DRC.  Then you will need to wade through mounds of paperwork and government bureaucracy in order to get a work visa. You will also need to get authorization and a work permit from the authorities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (“ Carte de travail ”) and a work contract recognized by the National Employment Office ( l’Office National de l’Emploi ). After you have secured all that stuff above, you can then proceed with your work visa application.  Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required. Proof of payment of visa application fee should be submitted .

This is the type of visa issued to Nigerians traveling to Congo for business purposes . You will need to provide an invitation letter from the Congolese company you will be visiting. This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied with the date and actual purpose of your trip. If the intention is to attend a meeting or seminar, confirmation/invitation from the conference organizer/institution is required. If you are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating or allowing your business travel. Proof of sufficient funds to cover the costs of stay (e.g. bank statement for 2 recent months) is required. Self-employed people may need to submit proof of business registration. You cannot be gainfully employed while you are in the country with this visa. It must be made clear whether your trip will be sponsored by the employer or the local company.
