Nigerians who intend to travel to Croatia for tourism, sightseeing, vacation and other leisure activities are eligible to apply for the tourist visa. Applicants must have an original passport valid for at least three months after the planned date for departure. The visa application form must be completed and signed before submission. Applicants should ensure that they cross-check the form as incomplete forms or forms with inaccurate details will delay the processing of your visa application. Two recent 35mm x 45mm passport-sized photograph with white background must be submitted with your completed visa application form. The tourist visa does not permit its holder to take up paid or unpaid work or to study while in Croatia. Foreign nationals are to register with the police within three days of arrival into Croatia. Present a letter of invitation from their host in the country if you are visiting a friend or relative. A copy of your hotel reservation or proof of private accommodation in Croatia must be provided. Visa application for a minor is to be submitted by parents or legal representatives with a copy of the minor’s original birth certificate. The Croatian business visa is issued for the sole purpose of doing business in Croatia. Applicants of this visa should submit two passport-size photographs taken against a white background within the last three months. An original Nigerian passport that is valid for least three months beyond the date of departure from Croatia should be used for the application. An official letter of introduction from your company should be provided. This letter should explain the company's operation, your position in the company, the purpose of your travel and who will be financing your business travel to Croatia. You are expected to provide a round-trip flight reservation or itinerary as proof that you intend to return to your country once your visa expires. Proof of paid medical travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros is mandatory, to cover for any expenses in case of a medical emergency. You must provide proof of accommodation, such as a hotel booking or a rental agreement for the entire duration of your stay in Croatia. You are also expected to provide proof of financial sufficiency for the duration of your stay in the country. This could be in the form of your bank account statement (not older than three months) or a sponsorship letter by another person that confirms that they will be sponsoring your trip financially. You are required to provide an invitation letter issued by a Croatian state authority, the partner company or the organiser of an international meeting. This letter has to appear as an invitation to attend meetings or other relevant events that match trade, industry or work. It must be stated in either the cover letter from your employer or the letter of invitation from the partner company that one or both of the companies will be covering your travel expenses during your stay in Croatia. If there have been any previous trade relations between your company and the partner company in Croatia such as bills of lading or payment receipts for goods delivered, you are required to provide proof of this. If you are employed, you need to present an employment contract, your bank statement of the latest six months, leave permission from your employer, and an income Tax Return form. If you are self-employed, a copy of your business license, the company's latest six months bank statement and an Income Tax Return should be presented. A payment receipt of the visa application fee should be presented as proof of payment. Proof of purpose of stay in Croatia in the form of a guarantee letter from your host in Croatia. The student visa is issued to foreign nationals who intend to travel to Croatia to study. For you to be eligible to apply for the student visa, you must have been offered admission to study in a Croatian educational institution. You are required to provide a copy of your admission offer letter. You are required to have an original Nigerian passport with at least two blank visa pages and a minimum of three months validity beyond your intended date of departure from Croatia in order to apply for this visa.
