General Requirements for Sweden Visa
  • Passport with a validity of at least 3 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
  • Duly completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
  • Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof of a steady and continuous flow of funds.
  • Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
  • Proof of civil status.
  • Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
  • Copy of return flight ticket.

Eligibility

  • This visa is issued to foreign nationals who are traveling to Sweden for the purpose of leisure and tourism.
  • If you have been invited to Sweden by a friend or relative living in the country, you can apply for this visa.
  • An official letter of invitation is required if you are visiting someone in Sweden. The letter must state the relationship between you and the host and the duration of your visit.
  • A letter from your employer in Nigeria should be provided. The letter must state your job position, salary level, and length of employment.
  • During your time in the country, you are not allowed to receive payment for services you render in the country.
  • Non-Nigerians residing in Nigeria are required to provide a copy of their Nigerian residence permit.
  • Minors traveling with one or none of their parents are required to present a copy of their birth certificate and a notarized consent signed by both their parents.
  • Proof of ties in Nigeria should be provided.
  • All the forms are to be filled in either Swedish and English.

Sweden Business visa

Eligibility

  • Foreigners applying for this visa are those who have the intention of engaging in business activities in Sweden.
  • This visa allows you to negotiate and sign business contracts with your business partners during meetings.
  • Applicants of this visa can attend trade fairs, conferences, and business summits while they are in Sweden.
  • If you will be participating in conferences, trade fairs, or seminars an invitation from the company or an authorized body to attend events should be provided.
  • A letter of invitation from the inviting company in Sweden stating the duration and purpose of the applicant’s visit is required.
  • The letter should state who will be financially responsible for the applicant during his/her time in the country.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Nigeria should be provided. The letter should introduce the applicant and confirming continuing employment after the duration of the applicant’s business leave.
  • Non-Nigerians applying for this visa from Nigeria are required to present a copy of their Nigerian residence permit.
  • Both original and photocopies of all the required documents should be provided during the visa application.
  • The required documents to be submitted should be in Swedish or English language.

Sweden Medical visa

Eligibility

  • This Medical Visa is issued to citizens of Nigeria who are traveling to Sweden to seek and receive medical treatment.
  • A medical report from the applicant’s local physician should be provided. The report should state the treatment needed by the applicant and the reason the treatment will be best gotten in the country.
  • A letter from the receiving medical institution in Sweden stating willingness to treat the applicant is required.
  • Any other correspondence between the receiving and sending medical institution should be provided.
  • Proof that the applicant can pay the medical fee and any other extra fee that may arise is required.
  • Minors applying for this visa are required to be in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate.
  • You are expected to provide a letter from your employer confirming awareness and allowance of your business leave.
  • Submitting fake or forged document will result in you being denied this visa. You are also likely to be prosecuted for this.

  • The Student Visa is issued to foreigners who have been offered admission to study in an academic institution in Sweden.
  • The original letter of admission from the institution that the applicant has been accepted to should be presented during the visa application.
  • You are required to be in possession of the receipt of the tuition fee paid to the institution in Sweden.
  • An original guarantee letter explaining the details of the applicant’s financial situation is required.
  • Minors applying for this visa should ensure they are in possession of the original and two extra copies of their birth certificate.
  • You are required to present two copies of your curriculum vitae during the visa application.
  • Applicants of this visa are required to present original certificates they obtain from the schools they attended previously.
  • If you will be accompanied by your family member you can apply on their behalf in your own application.
  • Proof of payment of visa fee is required.
  • The documents to be submitted should be in English or Swedish.

  • This visa is issued to foreign nationals who have been offered employment by an employer in Sweden.
  • The employment contract signed by both the employer and employee should be provided. The letter must state the job position offered to the applicant and the duration of employment.
  • A copy of your work permit is required.
  • Proof that there was no Swedish national qualified to take up the job that you were offered is required.
  • A copy of your curriculum vitae should be provided.
  • Proof of the incentive of returning to your home country at the expiry of your visa is required.
  • Non-Nigerians are required to provide a copy of their residence permit.
  • If you will be accompanied to Sweden by your family member, you can apply for the visa on their behalf.
