General Requirements for Albania Visa
  • An original Nigerian passport that is valid for at least 3 months from your intended date of departure from Albania.
  • A duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • One colour passport-size photograph, taken within the last 6 months with a light background.
  • A letter of invitation from your host in Albania with a photocopy of their passport
  • A photocopy of your passport bio-data page.
  • Travel medical insurance to cover the entire duration of stay.
  • Minors must submit a letter of consent from their parents or guardians allowing them to travel to Albania.
  • Evidence of payment of visa fee.

Albania Tourist visa

Eligibility

  • The Albania tourist visa is a short-stay visa that is issued to foreign nationals who intend to travel to the Republic of Albania and stay for not more than 90 days.
  • Nigerians travelling to Albania for tourism, vacation or other leisure activities are eligible to apply for this visa.
  • You are required to submit a signed and completed visa application form. Incomplete application forms may delay the processing of your visa request.
  • Your Nigerian passport must be valid for at least 3 months from the date you plan to leave the Republic of Albania and have no less than 1 blank passport page for your visa.
  • You should also make a photocopy of your passport bio-data page (that is, the first page of your passport).
  • As proof that you intend to return to your country of origin once your visa expires, you are required to submit a copy of your roundtrip ticket booking.
  • You must as well submit a copy of your hotel booking with information about the accommodation (such as the name of the hotel, contact details) and how long you are booked to lodge there.
  • As proof that you can cater to all your financial needs while in the Republic of Albania(that is, spend at least $47 per day), you must provide copies of your bank statements of the last three months.
  • You are also required to provide proof of your employment status.
    • If you are employed, you should provide a letter from your employer stating the date you were employed, your role in the company and acknowledging your leave from work.
    • If you are self-employed, a copy of business license, the company’s most recent bank statement and your income tax return should be provided.
  • Minors (under 18s) should submit a copy of their birth certificate and a letter of consent from their parents permitting them to travel to Albania.
  • You should present a copy of your travel medical insurance covering the entire duration of your stay in Albania.
  • If you are travelling as a group for tourism, you should submit a notarized photocopy of the licence of Albania Tourism Agency inviting your group.
  • All the documents required should be uploaded online. Then after acceptance of your application, you should submit to the embassy or consular office of the Republic of Albania in your country (or a neighbouring country if there isn’t one in your country.)

  • A letter of admission offer from an Albanian institution must be submitted. This means that you must have been offered admission to study in a school in Albania before you can apply for this visa.
  • You are required to submit documents that prove and certify the coverage of all your living expenses and tuition fees.
  • You must have travel health insurance for the duration of your study in Albania.
  • Proof that you have confirmed accommodation for the entire duration of your stay in Albania must also be provided.
  • You must show that you have enough knowledge of the Albanian language for carrying out your studies.
  • A police report showing no criminal record must be submitted.
  • You are also required to show evidence of payment of the visa fee.

Albania Work visa

Eligibility


  • The Albania work visa is a long-stay visa (type D) issued to foreign nationals who intend to travel to the Republic of Albania to work as employees.
  • The long-stay visa (type D) also allows its holder to study in Albania.
  • The long-stay visa allows its holder to stay in Albania for more than 90 days.
  • You are required to complete a visa application form and sign it before submitting.
  • Documents proving the legal status of your Albanian employer should be presented.
  • Travellers to Albania must show that they have enough funds to cover all expenses during their stay in the Republic of Albania. This proof could be in the form of a recent bank account statement or evidence of salary earnings.
  • Nigerians applying for a long-stay visa to work in Albania should have confirmed employment offer from a registered organisation in Albania before applying for the visa.
  • Police report showing no criminal record as well as a medical report showing a clean bill of health is required.
  • Educational or work experience is required from foreign citizens intending to work in Albania.
  • A work permit which takes about the same process as getting this visa is, in most cases necessary. Without a work permit, a foreign citizen holding this visa is not authorised to work in Albania.
