Nigerians who intend to travel to the Republic of Congo for sightseeing, relaxation, vacation and other recreational activities are eligible to apply for the Congolese tourist visa . The Republic of Congo, also known as the Congo or Congo Brazzaville, should not be confused with the Democratic Republic of Congo , which is a neighbouring country. Nigerians who plan to visit friends or relatives residing in the Congo should also apply for the tourist visa . If you have been invited by a friend or relative in the Congo , a letter of invitation from your host is required. The letter should clearly state the relationship between you and your host. The Congo tourist visa allows its holder to attend festivals and events in the country. A business letter from your employer , written on the company’s letterhead, is required. The letter should state your full name, your position in the country, and the duration of your visit to the Congo . If you are under the age of 18 years and you are travelling alone or with one of your parents, a copy of your birth certificate and a notarized consent signed by your parents or guardians is required. To show that you intend to return to Nigeria once your visa expires, you are required to provide a copy of your return ticket to Nigeria .
