Business Visa from Nigeria to Colombia Description

  • This is the type of visa issued to Nigerians traveling to Colombia for business purposes.
  • The Colombian business visa may be granted to a foreigner who is accredited as a business person, legal representative, director or executive of a foreign company who wishes to enter the country to establish a commercial presence.
  • The applicant must present a valid passport or travel document during the application. This passport must be in good condition and should have a minimum of two (2) blank pages.
  • The photographs used should be 3X3 cm color, front view and taken against a white background.
  • You will need to provide an invitation letter from the Colombian company you will be visiting.
  • This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied with the date and actual purpose of your trip.
  • If the intention is to attend a meeting or seminar, confirmation/invitation from the conference organizer/institution is required.
  • If you are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating or allowing your business travel.
  • Your bank statement from the last 6 months is needed.
  • Self-employed people will submit proof of business registration.
  • You cannot be gainfully employed while you are in the country with this visa.
  • It must be made clear whether your trip will be sponsored by the employer or the local company.
  • A beneficiary visa may be granted to the spouse, permanent partner, parents and children who are economically dependent on the visa holder, following prior proof of the relationship or kinship.

Business Visa from Nigeria to Colombia Requirements

  • A Nigerian passport, valid for at least six months beyond the expected date of entry into Colombia.
  • Duly completed and signed application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
  • A passport photograph taken in white background. Three (3) identical photographs must be submitted. They should be 3 x 3 cm in width and height.
  • Travel document.
  • Proof of financial standing (recent bank statements). 
  • Documentation showing applicants ties to home country, e.g. verification from applicant’s employer.
  • Medical Insurance.
  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
  • Some embassies/consulates may also request a criminal record certificate and medical report.
