Virtually all countries in Africa require a visa in order to travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina. All visitors to Bosnia and Herzegovina must carry a valid passport. The passport must be valid for at least three months past your planned date of departure. Visitors traveling with funds exceeding 10,000 euros or equivalent must declare it on arrival to the country. Applicants are required to submit a police report from their local police department certifying they have no criminal record. This report must be issued within 6 months of the application. Airlines may deny boarding to travelers on a one-way ticket or a ticket with a return date beyond three months from the date of arrival. Applicants are advised to verify with the airline before travel. Visa applicants need to submit an invitation letter from a family member or host living in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This letter should clearly state the address and contact details of the host, as well as your relationship with them. During the visa application, you will need to provide proof of sufficient funds to last the duration of your stay. You are advised to exit the country before your visa expires. You may need to submit a document that shows you have the incentive of returning to your country at the end of your stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina . Applicants intending to stay for more than 90 days must apply for a temporary residence permit from the local field office of the Department for Foreigners of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Ministry of Security . The process of getting a TRP (Temporary Residence Permit) is complex. You are advised to gather the required documentation well in advance and submit the application as soon as you arrive the country. You must submit your temporary residence permit application at least 15 days prior to the expiration of the initial 90-day visa.
