Student Visa from Nigeria to Belarus Description

  • An international student who wants to pursue an educational course in Belarus will have to obtain a student visa.
  • The Belarus student visa is a long-term visa granted to students who have already been accepted for admission by a recognized educational institute in Belarus.
  • The student visa must be obtained before entry into the country.
  • To be eligible for a Belarus student visa, you must provide proof of having being accepted as a student by a recognized Belarusian university.
  • You must also provide proof of full payment of tuition fees for the course.
  • Your medical insurance must cover the total number of days you will be staying in Belarus as a student.
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination may also be needed.
  • Most universities will assist students in obtaining the student visa. Upon arrival in Belarus, the individual universities will also assist students in obtaining a temporary residency permit.
  • This permit is valid for one year.
  • An HIV/AIDS test, performed by a Belarusian clinic, is required for a residency permit.
  • Successful applications will be processed within 5 working days of receiving the request.
  • The new rates of the consular fees for entry visas became effective in Belarus on 1 January 2017.
    • An individual visa – €60 (for all types of visas, regardless of the number of entries);
    • A group visa (per person) – €10.
  • Applicants are required to show evidence of finances in the form of cash, credit cards or travelers checks equivalent to 25 Euros for each day of stay.
  • Every foreigner planning to come to Belarus for study will need the following:
    • first year Tuition Pack
    • medical fitness certificate(original)
    • valid international passport
    • original Educational certificates
    • birth certificate (hard copy)
    • 10 passport-size photographs 4x6cm
    • official study invitation (Approved by Federal Migration Department of Belarus)
    • Ok-To-Board letter (for visa-on-arrival  applicants only).
  • Typically, undergraduate courses demand three to four years. While post-graduate studies demands, at least, one year.
