Tourist Visa from Nigeria to Uruguay
- The tourist visa is issued to those who intend to visit Uruguay for tourism, leisure, sight-seeing.
- It can also be used to visit friends and relatives, attend ceremonies and festivals.
- The Uruguay visa is categorized into three (3), based on the number of entries allowed:
- Single Entry — allows one entry
- Multiple Entry — allows multiple entries
- In summary, the single-entry visa allows you to enter Uruguay once, while the multiple-entry visa allows you to leave and re-enter Uruguay multiple times during its validity.
- The validity of the visa is normally 90 days for the single and multiple entry visas.
- Visa extension can be done by going to an Immigration office and requesting an extension at 28 USD for an additional three months.
- Single-entry visa costs 60 USD, and multiple-entry visa costs 100 USD.
- All applicants should ensure that they have an accommodation reservation in Uruguay. Details of the accommodation is required for visa processing.
- The accommodation must be valid for the applicant’s duration of stay.
- Studying or working is not allowed with this visa regardless of how short the course or job might be.
- Individuals are required to obtain a Police clearance showing clean criminal records.
- Postal applications should be accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
- For private visits, a letter of invitation from the Uruguayan host, carrying information such as the relationship between both parties, duration of stay and personal details of the host.
- Applicants should ensure that their vaccinations are up to date with a medical certificate as proof.
