Business Visa from Nigeria to Tonga
- Nigerians traveling to Tonga for business must first secure a business visa.
- Unlike other Non-Tourist Visas, the Tonga business visa is issued for at least a month up to 1 year— for whole five years at a time.
- You will need to provide an invitation letter from the Tongan company you will be visiting.
- This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied with the date and actual purpose of your trip.
- If the intention is to attend a meeting or seminar, confirmation/invitation from the conference organizer/institution is required.
- If you are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating or allowing your business travel.
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover the costs of stay (e.g. bank statement for 2 recent months) is required.
- Self-employed people may need to submit proof of business registration.
- You cannot be gainfully employed while you are in the country with this visa.
- It must be made clear whether your trip will be sponsored by the employer or the local company.
- Proof of payment of visa application fee should be submitted.
- In summary, these are what you’ll be needing for your Tonga business visa application:
- Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond the stay in Tonga, with at least one blank passport page available for a Tonga visa stamp.
- One properly completed Tonga visa application form per applicant, including the signed declaration page.
- Two recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/white background.
- OR - you can upload a photo when you place your order online, instead of providing physical passport photos.
- Two character references from two individuals who have known the applicant for a significant period of time (referee's full contact details must be provided and will be verified by the visa officer).
